Practical online classes for dog professionals navigating the human side of training
Most dog training education teaches you how to train dogs. Few teach you how to work with people. These classes bridge that gap: interactive sessions designed to help you handle the part of the job that’s often the hardest — working with clients in real-world situations.
Designed for dog professionals who want to feel more confident navigating client interactions in the moment; not for people who want to absorb more theory.
Early access and priority booking for waitlist members.

When Clients Disagree With You
For trainers who know what they’d recommend, but go quiet when a client pushes back.
You’ve assessed the dog. You know what needs to change. But your client isn’t convinced — they’ve read something online, their last trainer did it differently, or they just don’t want to change. And suddenly you’re backpedalling, over-explaining, or silently hoping they’ll come round on their own.
In this class, we’ll work through how to respond in those moments: how to name the disagreement without creating conflict, and how to bring a resistant client with you using influence rather than authority. We’ll work through real scenarios relevant to your practice, and you’ll leave with a personalised response you can use straight away.
Includes:
- Personalised script for the disagreement you find hardest to navigate
- A transferable framework for influencing without overstepping
- One week replay access

What people say about working with me
Frequently asked questions
Are these classes right for me?
These classes are for dog professionals at all stages of their careers who want to feel more confident navigating the human side of training, especially when real clients, differing beliefs, and pressure get in the way of “ideal” training plans. If you’re someone who learns by working through real scenarios, testing things, and refining your approach, you’ll fit right in. Expect practical examples, reflection, and space to think through how you’d respond in real client situations.
This probably isn’t for you if you’re looking for step-by-step protocols, theoretical discussions, or certifications. These classes focus on professional development to build your judgement, communication, and decision-making in context, not provide a single “correct” answer for every situation.
What will I learn?
Practical skills you can use straight away, not more information to file away and forget. I’ll help you build durable habits that hold up in real life, not just in theory; and skills that apply across many different client situations, not just the ones we cover in class. The goal is to make you a more confident, capable dog professional across the board.
What’s your approach to training?
My approach is grounded in force-free, evidence-based training and a welfare-first approach. These classes are built on those principles, and that perspective underpins how I think through client work, communication, and decision-making. These classes are not a space for debating training methodologies; they’re designed for professionals who are already working within or actively moving towards force-free practices, who want to strengthen how they navigate client situations within that framework.
How big are classes?
No more than 15 participants, which keeps things interactive, and leaves room for live coaching and practice during the session.
What if I miss the live session?
The session will be recorded and available to watch back for one week after the live class. You’ll receive the replay link by email. After one week the recording expires, so make sure you set aside time to watch it back if you can’t attend live. The live session is where the real learning happens though; you’ll get more out of participating than watching back alone.
What do I need to prepare?
Make sure you’re somewhere you can focus for the duration to the class, with a stable internet connection. You may find it helpful to have a notebook or something to hand for reflections as we go through scenarios and examples. If you have any specific access needs, please let me know ahead of time, and I’ll support where I can.
I’d love to see a class on a specific topic: can I suggest it?
Please do. If there’s something you want covered, I want to hear about it. Get in touch and let me know.
