Terms & Conditions

These T&Cs outline my working practices, so that you know what you can expect from me, as well as what I expect from you.

By booking my services, you’re agreeing to the following. Thank you for your understanding!

Training methods & tools

  • I use compassionate, rewards-based training methods. You are expected to follow this approach to ensure the dog’s welfare and the success of the training. Intentional use of force, fear, punishment, or discomfort will not be tolerated, and may result in the immediate termination of a session with no refund.
  • I do not use—nor condone the use of—tools that cause discomfort, pain, or fear. I’m happy to help you transition away from aversive tools, and guide you towards effective, compassionate alternatives.
  • You are expected to follow the guidance provided during training sessions, and practice at home as advised. Success depends on your commitment, consistency, and active participation.

Payment, bookings & cancellations

  • Payment is required in full within 24 hours of a session.
  • The preferred method of payment is bank transfer. Cash on the day or PayPal is also accepted.
  • For block bookings:
    • Payment is required in full by the day of the first session.
    • Sessions must be taken within 6 months from the payment date. It is your responsibility to schedule them in prior to the expiration date. There are no refunds, or partial refunds, for expired sessions.
    • I’m unable to provide refunds after your first session has begun. This is applicable for both single and multi-session bookings.
  • Cancellations may sometimes be necessary before training has begun. I require a minimum of 48 hours cancellation notice. Cancellations within 24-48 hours of your first session may be charged at 50%. No refund will be issued for non-appearance or cancellations made less than 24 hours before your first session.
  • If, due unforeseen circumstances, I need to rearrange your session, I’ll offer a date at the nearest possible availability and give you as much notice as I’m able to. If rescheduling isn’t possible, a refund will be issued.

Health, safety & liability

  • You take full responsibility for your dog’s behaviour at all times, including when off-lead and in public spaces. You are expected to clean up after your dog.
  • You agree to fully disclose any health conditions or injuries your dog may have, along with any characteristics or behavioural history that may make your dog unsuitable for training sessions.
  • You must ensure your dog is in good health for training sessions. If your dog is unwell, please reschedule. All dogs must be up-to-date on vaccinations, worming, and flea treatments.
  • You agree to maintain a respectful environment during sessions. Aggressive, offensive, or dangerous behaviour may result in immediate termination of the session with no refund.
  • While all family members are encouraged to participate in training sessions, anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • While every effort is made to ensure safety, I cannot accept responsibility for loss, injury or damage to person or property. You take responsibility for any costs which may be incurred as a result of any damage, accident, sickness or death caused to or by your dog.
