These T&Cs outline my working practices, so that you know what you can expect from me, as well as what I expect from you.

By booking my services or classes, you’re agreeing to the following. Thank you for your understanding!
Training methods & tools
- I use compassionate, rewards-based training methods. You are expected to follow this approach, and practice at home as advised, to ensure the dog’s welfare and the success of the training. Success depends on your commitment, consistency, and active participation.
- Intentional use of force or punishment-based training methods will not be tolerated. I also do not use—nor condone the use of—tools that cause discomfort, pain, or fear. Repeated use of these methods or tools will result in the immediate termination of a session or class with no refund.
- For in-person classes specifically:
- Dogs should ideally wear a well-fitted harness and be on a flat lead. Retractable/flexi leads are not permitted for the safety of others, and may be swapped out for the session.
- Dogs not suited to group settings may be offered 1:1 or online alternatives to ensure their safety and welfare.
Payment, bookings & cancellations
- Payment is required in full to confirm any booking. Bank transfer is the preferred method of payment. Other methods may be accepted by prior arrangement.
- Payment must be completed by the stated deadline. Once payment has been made, it’s your responsibility to attend at the agreed time and location. No refunds or partial refunds are given for missed sessions or non-attendance.
- If, due unforeseen circumstances, I need to cancel or rearrange your session or class, I’ll offer the nearest possible alternative. If rescheduling is not possible, a refund will be issued.
- For 1:1 sessions specifically:
- A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations made within 24-48 hours may be charged at 50%. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, are non-refundable.
- Sessions purchased as part of a package must be used within 3 months of the payment date. It is your responsibility to book and attend sessions within this period. Unused sessions expire and are non-refundable.
- For in-person & online classes specifically:
- A minimum of 7 days’ notice is required to cancel a class booking.
- Bookings are for the full course, and cannot be transferred or partially refunded.
- If you are unable to attend a session, please let me know as soon as possible. Follow-up notes will be provided where appropriate, but missed classes cannot be refunded or rescheduled.
Health, safety & liability
- You take full responsibility for your dog’s behaviour at all times, including when off-lead and in public spaces. You are expected to clean up after your dog.
- You agree to fully disclose any health conditions or injuries your dog may have, along with any characteristics or behavioural history that may make your dog unsuitable for in-person training or classes.
- You must ensure your dog is in good health for in-person training. If your dog is unwell, please reschedule. All dogs must be up-to-date on vaccinations, worming, and flea treatments.
- You agree to maintain a respectful environment. Aggressive, offensive, or dangerous behaviour may result in immediate termination of the session or class, with no refund.
- Children under 16 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult. If a child is disruptive, they may be asked not to attend future sessions or classes.
- While every effort is made to ensure safety, I cannot accept responsibility for loss, injury or damage to person or property. You take responsibility for any costs which may be incurred as a result of any damage, accident, sickness or death caused to or by your dog.
- For in-person classes specifically:
- Dogs should not greet other dogs on lead, unless instructed by the lead trainer.
- We recommend a maximum of 2 adults per dog attend classes, to ensure safety and focus for all attendees.
